Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how NLtimer handles data in the Android app and on this website.
Effective date: May 1, 2026
Last updated: May 3, 2026
1. Developer and contact
App name: NLtimer. Privacy contact: neverlatetimer@gmail.com.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, contact us by email.
2. Short version
NLtimer is designed as a local-first Android timer app. The app stores your tasks, stages, settings, timers, folders, imports, exports, and backups on your device. The app does not request the Android INTERNET permission, and it does not send your task content or timer content to a developer server.
NLtimer does not collect or share your app data with analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services.
We do not sell personal information.
3. Data stored by the app
NLtimer may store the following data locally on your device:
- task names, stage names, stage hints, descriptions, durations, absolute times, folders, and sort order;
- timer state, current stage, remaining time, mode, widget state, and recovery state;
- app settings such as language, color theme, sound, vibration, brightness, font size, and Picture-in-Picture preference;
- free, premium, promo-code, import counter, backup counter, and local purchase-status flags;
- exported task files and backup files when you choose to create them.
This data is used to provide the app features you request: running timers, restoring timer state, organizing tasks, importing/exporting tasks, showing widgets, and applying your settings.
4. Data collection and sharing
The NLtimer Android app does not transmit task content, stage content, folders, settings, or backups to us.
The app does not use a developer backend, user accounts, cloud sync, in-app analytics, in-app advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting SDKs that receive your app data from the device.
Data may be shared only when you choose to export, import, back up, send, copy, or otherwise share files using Android or another app. In that case, you control where the file goes.
Google Play, Android, and device services may process technical data according to Google's own policies when you install the app, update it, use Google Play features, use Android backup, submit a review, or interact with Google Play services.
5. Permissions and Android features
NLtimer may request or use Android permissions and system features that are necessary for timer functionality:
- notifications, so an active timer can be shown;
- foreground service and wake lock, so the timer can continue running reliably;
- vibration and sound, for timer alerts if enabled;
- Picture-in-Picture, so the timer can stay visible over other apps;
- home screen widgets, so timer information can be shown outside the app;
- boot completed, so timer/widget state can be restored after device restart;
- battery optimization exception request, if you choose to allow more reliable background operation.
6. Android backup and device transfer
Android may back up or transfer app data if backup or device-transfer features are enabled on your device. This is handled by Android and Google, not by an NLtimer server. You can manage Android backup in your device settings or Google account settings.
7. Imports, exports, and backups
Task export files and backup files may contain task names, folder names, stage descriptions, hints, durations, and timing data. Do not share exported files with people or services you do not trust.
NLtimer cannot control what happens to files after you export or share them outside the app.
8. Google Play services and premium features
NLtimer uses Google Play Billing for paid premium features. Google Play processes purchases, payments, refunds, and related account operations under Google Play and Google Payments terms.
NLtimer does not receive or store your payment card number or similar payment credentials. The app may store only local premium-state information needed to unlock paid features on your device.
9. Website hosting and analytics
This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting. Firebase/Google may process technical request data such as IP address, user agent, URL requested, and timestamps to provide and secure the hosting service.
This website uses Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymization to understand page visits and improve the website. Analytics is not used to identify individual app users.
10. Emails and website feedback
If you contact us by email or send a message through the website feedback form, we may receive and store the information you provide, such as your email address, message content, and the time of your message.
We use this information only to read feedback, reply when appropriate, improve the app and website, and plan future testing or launch communication. We do not sell this information.
11. Data retention and deletion
App data stored on your device remains there until you delete it in the app, clear app data, uninstall the app, delete exported files/backups, or remove it through Android backup/device settings.
Because NLtimer does not maintain user accounts or a developer server containing your task content, we do not have a server-side account deletion process for task data.
For the same reason, there is no separate cloud account to delete for normal app usage.
12. Security
NLtimer relies on Android app sandboxing and local device storage. You are responsible for protecting your device, screen lock, exported files, and backup files.
13. Children
NLtimer is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app, website, or legal requirements change. The latest version will be available at this URL.
